Malá Strana (Lesser Town)
The neighbourhood between the river and the castle hill, and one of the best-preserved baroque quarters in Europe.
Vinohrady & Žižkov
Two residential districts just east of the centre, and the closest thing Prague has to "where locals actually live" within easy reach of the sights.
New Town (Nové Město)
Founded by Charles IV in the 14th century, New Town is Prague's largest historic district — and, despite the name, still genuinely old.
